The Church of Maasa is a community blog originally created by Dran in 2008 as a place for fans of Berryz Koubou's Sudou Maasa to talk about the latest news or goings on in the community.
It has since grown beyond its humble beginnings as the creators on the site eventually expanded beyond just Dran, and is perhaps one of the most famous single-idol fanblogs in the Hello!Project community.

History
The blog can trace its origins back to an extended debate on Hello!Online's Sudou Maasa thread in 2008. At that time it was possible to give threads a sub-title to provide a little more context to the discussion inside, and all of the member threads had been sub-titled with some kind of descriptor or in-joke (for example, Yurina was the Berryz Tower, and Risako's was "Pudding of Puddings") and some of those from the Shimizu Saki thread were not happy that we had gotten Maasa's subtitle changed from "2nd Berryz Tower" to "World's Strongest Idol". They argued that the title was rightfully Captain's.
After they accusing the Maasa thread residents of cult-like fanaticism, Dran declared the formation of the Church of Maasa and created the blog, officially becoming the first Hello!Project-centered religion, which would briefly become a trend in the years that followed. It also set into motion a bitter rivalry between Dran and the members of the self-proclaimed communist Captain Party for many years until the Church accepted one of their members in 2010.
Since then there have been periods of various levels of activity, but the Church continued to grow as the site was joined by more and more contributors between 2010 and 2011, with the most recent addition being in late 2014.
